Marketing Strategy:

Our strategy is simple: we intend to provide our customers with a wide range of services custom tailored to their individual needs. Therefore, whether they required a complete package, or simply consulting on a particular service, we can help.

The company marketing strategy will be based on the following elements:

  1. Networking / Referrals: Developing and nurturing relationships with other vendors who can refer our business. This could be as simple as mutually referring prospects back and forth, like a hotel referring a party client to a planner and a planner referring a wedding client back to the hotel.  It is very important to find reputable, reliable partners to refer people to, because we will not make friends by referring leads to less-than-stellar vendors. Many referrals also come from former clients, and the best way to encourage this is to periodically reach out our former and existing clients and ask them if they know of anyone who could use our services.

  2. Facebook: Create a well-developed Facebook page as well as building up the number of our fan page “likes” (which we can do by putting links to our Facebook page in our email footers, on our Web site pages, in our e-newsletters, etc.). Simply adding likes from our friends, networking partners and clients can give me a great start on this. However, this tactic also requires diligent and regular posting to our Facebook page so we can increase our EdgeRank. Posting to our Facebook wall might include some fun tidbits or ideas for proposal that can lead our followers to request our services in the future.

  3. Search Engine: Create a website and show all the services that my business offers. Drive visitors to my website true Google AdWords and Bing Advertising. Bid on localized keywords and try to see if it works in our area. For example, bid on keywords such as “Miami event planner”, “Miami wedding planner” and “Miami event planning” to drive search traffic to our site. In addition, we can optimize our Web site title tags and copy with keywords and work on building mentions and links to our site (start asking our networking partners for online recommendations/links), which can help with our organic search engine rankings.

  4. Email:        As event planners I will be using email in three different ways to attract new clients. First, emailing current and former clients to stay top-of-mind in case they or their acquaintances need event planning services. Second, building my own lists via my Web site (using incentives like free e-newsletters) as well as information we gather at trade shows and such, and periodically emailing these lists with useful event-related information. Third, using email groups to connect with both prospects as well as referral partners, sharing their expertise and passing leads back and forth among community members.

  5. Trade Shows: As a wedding and event planners we will attend to trade and bridal shows and walk the floor to interact with prospective clients. Prepare such as printing up flyers and brochures as well as booth decor and staging. But the added expense is worth it simply because of the sheer number of potential prospects walking the aisles. Another strategy is to co-op with another vendor and share space so that you can split the costs but still have a prominent presences.
